Day Sixteen

This one is very hard because I am a food-o-holic. I love food and I am usually eating something I shouldn't be. Lately, my favorites are cheese enchiladas from El Toro and the pizza and pasta at Callaway's Bistro. Last time we went to Callaway's we got a meat lovers pizza (just right for us vegetable haters) and a four cheese ravioli. So yummy!! Their macaroni and cheese is also an excellent choice.

I also love pretty much any dessert. I really like brownies and oatmeal scotchies. Those are my two all time favorites. Oh and pumpkin cake and peach cobbler. Oh man I said this was a tough one! I just love food too much to pick any one thing. :)

Day Fifteen

My pet peeves.... There are quite a few things that drive me crazy, but here are the big ones:

1. Bad drivers (don't even get me started, it's that bad)

2. When I see animal neglect/abuse or just stupid people doing bad things to animals or when people won't take an animal to the vet when it is obviously very sick. This is another one that will get me into BIG trouble one of these days...

3. When people don't do their jobs so I have to fix/do it right for them. Or they just make a mess and leave it so I have to clean it up.... (this has happened many times GRRR!)

4. Spiders. That's all I have to say.

5. When my husband doesn't pick up after himself. Not funny at all.

6. When someone interrupts me while I'm reading/doing homework etc. I'm in the zone so leave me alone! (bahahaha! I kill myself!)

7. People who express their opinion very loudly (without being asked), but can't handle it if you have a different opinion. Basically people who can't listen to someone else's opinion just because it's not theirs.

8. People who don't like dogs in the house (it has been scientifically proven that pet owners are more responsible and cleaner, just so you all know).

9. People who use terrible grammer. Learn how to write and speak people! Those things will never go away!

10. How all my tuition goes to the athletics department instead of to my education. I didn't come to school so the jocks could get degrees in underwater basket weaving while I have to slog my way through horrible jobs just to pay for their scholarships.

Day Fourteen

This one is kind of hard because there are a lot of places I would like to go... I really want to go to Europe. Pretty much any where in Europe. I think the Louvre in Paris would be pretty neat to see as well as Paris in general. My sister's been to Italy A LOT and all the pictures she takes make me jealous so I think Italy is on my list as well. I want to go to Austraila and/or New Zealand too. Those places have always been on my list. Germany has been to. My sister has also been there and the castles look amazing. So I pretty much want to go everywhere. It is on of my goals to go outside of the U.S. I've never even been to Mexico (although that really isn't very safe anymore....). One day I will get to Europe :)

It's OFFICIAL!!!

So I got my official letter from Washington State University offering me a position in the new veterinary school at Utah State University! For those of you who don't know, that means I'm going to vet school!!! So exciting it's ridiculous!! The whole process took almost a year. I started studying for the GRE back in May of 2011 and then started the application process in July. I officially applied in September and then had to wait to see if I got an interview. I found out in December that I had an interview scheduled for January 30, 2012. That was the first step towards my goal. After my interview it was another waiting game. I found out a week later that I'd been accepted and today I got my official hard copy of my acceptance. So it took almost a year from the time a started. Kinda ridiculous, but what do you do?

Now I return to waiting for my next packet of information. That won't be until May... A little put out about that, but I'll make it. After that it will be more waiting. I'll start school in August! Very excited to start and I'm sure there will be many posts about vet school life. :)

So here's to another four years of college!! I must be cRaZy!!!

No idea where this stupid stop sign came from

So I just logged in to my blog and there was this weird sopa stop sign thing. I did not put it there and I can't figure out how to get rid of it. So until I work out the problem sorry for the crappy background...

Kindle Case

I can't take credit for this one because I found it on pinterest, but it is pretty neat. I got a kindle touch (which I love) and made this cover for it out of an old hard cover book. It didn't take very long to do and it's fun cause you can still hold it like a book. I was pretty excited that it turned out so well.

Here are some pictures.

This is the hard cover book that I used.

Pocket for storage

Elastics on one side for when you're using it
I would recommend using a larger book than I did. It's a little tight. Other than that it was a pretty easy project. No sewing either. Just hot glue and heat and bond :)

New Sewing Machine!!!

So my parents got me a sewing machine for Christmas! It is sooo cool! I've only used it a few times so far, but I already love it! I don't think I'll ever be able to use all the stitches it has, but I'll try really hard to. It also has some sweet quilting stitches so those will be fun to try out too. My parents are awesome! Love them!!
